Welcome to Nomad Therapy Services

Nomad Therapy Services is an unconventional approach to traditional talk therapy. Nomad provides a flexible and laid-back style, focusing on removing barriers to care. We may choose to meet in the office, a park, your home, or via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform, depending on where you feel most comfortable. Nomad follows a person-centered approach and acknowledges both the individual and environmental factors impacting growth. The Nomad belief is that individuals hold a unique understanding of their challenges... and solutions.

About Nomad Therapy

Samantha Camerino & Nomad Therapy

Hello! I’m Samantha Camerino (she/her/hers), founder of Nomad Therapy Services. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Colorado and have nearly a decade of experience working with individuals going through life changes, managing behavioral health challenges, and providing support for those seeking personal growth. This has included working with persons who struggle with depression, Bi-Polar Disorder, anxiety, anger, trauma, and other mood disorders. I received my Master of Social Work (MSW) at Fordham University in New York City, with a focus on Evidence-Based Practices and Trauma-Informed Care. I started Nomad to break through some of the traditional styles of therapeutic services. While using an eclectic approach, my focus is on how to create a comfortable and warm environment to talk through challenges. In my experiences, therapy can sometimes feel too stuffy or sterile, more like medical treatment rather than a relaxed space to express thoughts and emotions. I’ve built this practice with the idea that therapy doesn’t have to feel so formal or conventional… sometimes we just need a non-judgmental space to work through our thoughts.

Philosophy

Managing and navigating our behavioral health can feel daunting, and oftentimes we put our own emotional well-being on the back burner while we tend to other responsibilities. Nomad Therapy was created to alleviate some of the stress related to addressing personal challenges by developing an approach that is laid-back, welcoming and non-judgmental. Therapy doesn’t always need to feel stuffy or traditional, sometimes we simply need a safe space for self-exploration. Each individual holds within them a unique understanding not just of their challenges, but the solutions to navigate their own world. Nomad employs a ‘person-in-environment’ approach, acknowledging that our surroundings and society impact our overall well-being just as much as the interpersonal conflicts we wrestle with. Having a trusted partner to help you maneuver these waters can effectively remove some of the struggles that may be impeding your personal growth.
